Snakes and Ladders

An excerpt from my book, Flight to Eternal Happiness....

Snakes and ladder is a game closest to the game of life where the objective of the game is to reach the highest level of existence. The game takes us through the various stages of life, sometimes giving us a promotion, elevating our lives, whereas sometimes dragging us down in descendent. Whatever it is, players play happily with amusement. We shall do ourselves a favor if we bring the same attitude to our daily lives and learn the art of living with dispassionate passion.

With a roll of dice

you sit back and rejoice.

Sometimes lucky enough

to climb up the ladder,

sometimes funny enough

to set you back in order.

You never know

when you will hit

a snake or a ladder.

Strategy here is to surrender.

When you learn to play

as an Observer,

the climbing and sliding

won’t really matter.

Virtually playing this

game of dice

is living through the

Play of life.
